Common Questions

How do you decide which use case to build first?
Each candidate is scored on the value it returns, how feasible it is against your systems, and whether the data supports it today. The first build is usually the one that reaches production quickest while still mattering to the business. We would rather establish momentum than start with the most ambitious item on the list.
Do we have to pick a function to start in?
You pick one to start. Discovery looks across the business, but the lab builds in sequence. Concentrating the first builds in one function lets the people there see the change compound rather than experience a single isolated improvement.
Are these use cases products we buy?
No. They describe the kind of work a lab does in each function. Some of it overlaps with applications we have already built, which you can deploy as a head start. Most of it gets built against your systems, your process, and your data.
What if our use case is not listed?
These are domains rather than a catalog. If your problem involves defined, repeated work sitting on top of a system that already holds the answer, it is in scope. The list is there to make the work concrete, and it is not meant to bound it.
How long does one use case take to build?
It varies with complexity and integration surface. The target is weeks rather than quarters, and the first production build typically lands within the first quarter of the engagement. Use case scoring accounts for build time explicitly.
Do these apply to our industry?
Yes. Use cases are organized by function because they carry across industries. A reconciliation problem in a hospital and one in an aerospace supplier are largely the same problem in different vocabulary. The industry pages cover what changes on top of that.
